Flynn Lives – Tron Legacy Trailer

It’s been a long time coming and talk about a remake has been around for the last few years. A new trailer has popped up on the net, check it out – the HD version looks amazing. The CGI is looking really cool as things have advacned just a touch in the world of special effects since 1982!

Jeff Bridges is reprising his role as Kevin Flynn once again.

Tron has been used comically in popular culture for years now.

True Blood

One genre I’ve already been a huge fan of is horror and especially the vampire angle. A show I got onto recently and am now hooked on is HBO’s hit cable series True Blood. Not that you’d call this a horror show by any means, it’s quite adult and can be very funny in parts.

Sookie Stackhouse

The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people’s minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires ‘came out of the coffin’ on national television.

The name True Blood refers to the Japanese synthetic blood supplement ‘mainstreaming’ vampires drink instead of feeding on humans.

True Blood

Season 2 started last month in the US and I believe a third series has already been approved with is big props to how popular it is.

Fangtasia

If you’d never heard of it have a look at the promo for the first series.

Bruno

Where his last movie Borat was just dead set geniually funny, Sacha Baron Cohen’s new doc comedy Bruno isn’t. It sure has a shock factor that may offend a few (I’m sure you’d know what to expect seeing this movie). Most of the ‘funnier’ moments were spoiled by the trailer. There are some parts they couldn’t show on the trailer, some weren’t bad and some were just boring. By the end of it I was glad the run time was only 83mins.

The biggest problem I had with this movie is that bascially every scene appeared to be a setup so it was hard to take any of it serious.

Mark Webber Red Bull Racing

Big congrats to ‘Aussie’ Mark Webber as the media love to call him for winning in German F1 GP last night. I think many petrol heads would have tuned in for the race in which he qualifed first and survived an early scare having to perform a drive through penalty.

The top ten results are as follows:

1 Mark Webber 14 Red Bull-Renault: 1:36:43.310 10
2 Sebastian Vettel 15 Red Bull-Renault: 1:36:52.562 8
3 Felipe Massa 3 Ferrari: 1:36:59.216 6
4 Nico Rosberg 16 Williams-Toyota: 1:37:04.409 5
5 Jenson Button 22 Brawn-Mercedes: 1:37:06.919 4
6 Rubens Barrichello 23 Brawn-Mercedes: 1:37:07.798 3
7 Fernando Alonso 7 Renault: 1:37:08.166 2
8 Heikki Kovalainen 2 McLaren-Mercedes: 1:37:41.402 1
9 Timo Glock 10 Toyota: 1:37:44.710 0
