I took these some time ago but thought they were worth showing. I tried a few different things with these photos and liked the way they turned out. It was tricky given the limited lighting available but the older milling machines proved a useful backdrop with the metallic swarf.

The things we do to capture a photo. I got up at 4am to drive to the beach to attempt a sunrise photoshoot with Rod’s immaculate Ford Mustang. Good for a 10.8-second quarter mile in full street trim you’ll be able to take a closer look at the car in an upcoming issue of Street Fords magazine.

I haven’t photographed a VL turbo in a while. They aren’t as popular as they once were but look out for Trents ride in Street Commodores Magazine.

I photographed Dion’s Ford around 6 months ago for Extreme Performance magazine. The Falcon has an 890hp small bock 400ci sprint car engine that has been good for an 8.86@153mph over the quarter mile. Dion runs his own performance business called Dyno-Mite Performance

Another car for Street Commodores Magazine is Daniel’s tough looking VH. Under the bonnet is a big power 355 and on the rear are a set of big 325 drag radials.

Here’s a group shoot I completed a few months ago that is now published in the current issue of Fast Fours Magazine. The day was tricky with fluctuating lighting and working with multiple cars.

Meet Craig’s very wild Ford F6 Ute. The turbo engine is now pushing over 500kW to the wheels as you can see she’s quite modified under the bonnet. The Ute is on the cover of the current issue of Ute Action Magazine.

Ok it’s time for a few updates as I’ve been a little slack of late. Check out Dave’s 440ci twin carby powered Hot Rod. He’s owned the car a long time and drives it everywhere with full creature comforts such as air conditioning.

On a recent trip to Adelaide I photographed Peter’s clean black AU Ute for Ute Action Magazine. Before the shoot I had no idea what I was even photographing. If it were my choice I would have taken these photos at sun rise. It’s extremely hard not to blow the backgorund out of photos in the middle of the day.

I photographed this Ute for Custom Utes Magazine recently. Derek’s holden tonner was bright as they come paint in Lambo Yellow rolling on 18s and 20s respectively.

I wouldn’t usually shoot this coloured car in so much sun but on this occasion I had to go with the punches. Look out for it in Ute Action Magazine.

Jason’s VH Commodore was smooth as silk, a great colour it really looked good in the late evening daylight. Check out Street Commodores Magazine for more on this ride.
